Cartoon Video Upscaler
Upscale animation while protecting line art, flat colors, faces, and character identity.
Upload the original MP4 or MOV, up to 500 MB. The credit cost is shown before you submit. A signed-in free sample is 5 seconds at 720p, not a 4K file. A screenshot cannot test flicker or character consistency.
Confirm the source frame rate to avoid accidental interpolation.
Limits first tests to 10 seconds.

How to choose the settings
Use these starting points, then let the short preview decide whether the settings suit your particular animation.
Standard or Pro
Start with Standard for anime, cartoons, line art, and flat colors. Pro costs much more and is mainly useful for real-person skin and fine photographic texture.
Scene preset
Use Cartoon / AIGC for animation and generated video, UGC for phone footage, Short drama for live-action episodes, Old film for archive material, and General when none fits.
Output resolution
Start at 1080p for low-cost evaluation. Use 2K when outlines are already clean or the delivery needs more detail. Only choose 4K after the preview proves it is worthwhile.
Output frame rate
Match the source frame rate unless you intentionally want smoother interpolated motion. A higher target rate costs more and creates frames that were not in the original.
A safer workflow for cartoon video
Test the part that matters before committing the full edit. This helps you judge temporal quality, not just one sharp frame.
- Step 1
Prepare the cleanest source
Upload the original export whenever possible. Avoid screenshots, messaging-app copies, and videos that have already been compressed several times.
- Step 2
Confirm content and frame rate
Choose the closest content type and verify the real source frame rate in your editor or media player. This prevents unintended interpolation.
- Step 3
Test a representative 5–10 seconds
Pick a section with faces, motion, fine outlines, and color gradients. Compare flicker, line stability, and character consistency.
- Step 4
Process the approved final edit
Once the preview looks right, use the same settings on the final cut. Upscaling rough edits repeatedly wastes time and credits.
Important things to know
Use the original video whenever possible. Upscaling cannot fully recover detail already removed by heavy compression.
A screenshot only shows single-frame sharpness. It cannot reveal flicker, unstable outlines, changing faces, or inconsistent character design.
Preview guard does not trim a long upload for you. Prepare a separate 5–10 second clip before uploading when you want a low-cost test.
If the output frame rate is higher than the source, new frames are interpolated. Check fast motion and lip movement carefully.
Video enhancement can take several minutes even for a short clip. Keep the page open; failed provider jobs return their charged credits.
Frequently asked questions
Answers to the questions most likely to affect quality, cost, or a successful submission.
Is Cartoon / AIGC a separate cartoon model?
It is a scene-aware preset for animation and AI-generated material. It changes how the video is treated, but it cannot guarantee that every drawing style will remain identical. Always judge a motion-heavy preview first.
Should I use Standard or Pro for anime?
Use Standard first. Pro is designed primarily for real-person skin and photographic fine detail, costs substantially more, and is not automatically better for clean outlines or flat colors.
How do I find the source frame rate?
Check the file properties in your editor, VLC, QuickTime, PotPlayer, or MediaInfo. If it says 23.976, choose 24; for 29.97 choose 30. Matching the source avoids unnecessary interpolation.
Should I choose 1080p, 2K, or 4K?
Start with 1080p for the cheapest quality check. Move to 2K when the source and outlines are reasonably clean. Use 4K only when the final delivery needs it and the preview shows a real improvement.
Can I upload the full video for the first test?
You can after turning off the short preview guard, but it is usually a poor first step. Trim a representative 5–10 second section, confirm the settings, and only then process the final edit.
What happens if processing fails?
A provider failure is marked as failed and the charged task credits are returned. A temporary status-check problem does not mean you should immediately submit the same video again; first check My Creations or retry the status check.
